My name is Ashley Stegall, and I grew up in Arab, Alabama where I found my passion for agriculture. I grew up on a small operation farm, but never knew where this would lead me in the future. I became interested in the poultry industry my senior year of high school when my agriculture teacher began educating me on all the opportunities in the industry.  I graduated from Arab High School in May of 2015, and came straight to Auburn University as a Poultry Science Pre-Vet major.

Since then, I have transitioned to a Poultry Science Production major due to interests in other parts of the industry. The summer of my junior year at Auburn, I had the great opportunity to complete an internship in the poultry industry. During this internship, I saw multiple departments of a live operations facility. Some of the departments I was involved in were the GrandParent (GP), Great GrandParent (GGP), vaccination, and the hatcheries. I became very interested in the live production of the GP department, and the aspects of the vaccination department that helped to keep things with bird health and production running smoothly.

While at Auburn, I have taken classes and participated in extracurricular activities that have focused on and improved my writing abilities, advertising and marketing specialties, and poultry production and processing knowledge.

When I am not studying, working, or participating in clubs and organizations, I enjoy spending my time outside. I enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time with my four dogs. My passion for agriculture shows in every aspect of my life. I strive to make life enjoyable and fun, for myself and others.
