Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority whose focus is on four pillars: scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. I joined Sigma Alpha in the fall semester of 2015. In the spring and fall semesters of 2016, I served as the PR and Fundraising chair. In that postition, I was able to gain experience in teaching the public about Sigma Alpha and the agriculture industry, as a whole. I was also able to help Sigma Alpha raise over $5,000 during those two semesters. In the spring and fall semesters of 2017, I served as Sigma Alpha- Beta Eta Chapter's president at Auburn University. Sigma Alpha has taught me so much responsibility and professionalism throughout my time as a member. I have been able to network with so many people through Sigma Alpha that work in the agriculture industry. I am very thankful for all the opportunities Sigma Alpha has provided me.
