Starting in the spring semester of 2016, I have had the amazing opportunity to be a student worker under Auburn University Poultry Science Department's Student Coordinator and under the department's Communications and Marketing Specialist. During my time in the student worker position, I have written recruitment blogs, helped organize and plan events, and take part in these events. This job has helped me to learn how to approach people to gather information for a personal interview or blog. I have also been able to better my ability to work well with others to plan and coordinate events for the Poultry Science Department. Writing the blogs for the department has improved my writing skills. I am thankful to have this professional development opportunity during my time as a college student.
